Accreditation Coaching Structure
PNG adopted an new accreditation Coaching Structure
established by PNGFA. It is drawn in line with the PNGFA Coaching
Education Programs. The coaching education program best suits the
PNGFA Coaches structure where the kind of coaching education is
provided in line with OFC Coaches structure.
Papua New
Guinea Football Association has established a Coach Accreditation
structure within the National Coaching Program. The Coaching
education courses are available to assist in the development of the
coaches at all levels of ability in modern coaching and training
techniques. After receiving the PNGFA Senior License coaches move on
to attaining an OFC class C,B and than A License.
Recruitment and retention of Coaches
- open invitations are
advertised to the public to apply for coaching courses to be
conducted by PNGFA
- applicants are
screened and the selection is done
- successful applicants
attend to course
- course attendants sit
for an examinations at the end of the course which decides
their success
- sometimes a local
association can request PNGFA for a course instructor to run
introductory course or coaching clinic in the association if there
is a need.
