PNGFA Press Release -Day Two of Elite Referees' Course

Day 2 of the NSL Elite Referees Course started off well with Facilitator Neil Poloso, FIFA Referee Instructor highlighting the guidelines for the referees.

The topic covered areas such as:

  • Serious foul play
  • Violent conduct

Poloso also covered the most asked question “What is an offside,” looking at the following areas:

  • Interfering with an opponent
  • Gaining advantage for being in an offside position

The afternoon session covered these topics: Referee Positioning:

  • Movement
  • Counter Attacks
