School Soccer involves school kids of between 6 - 12 years of age. Papua New Guinea (PNG) has several school soccer  associations which come together once  a year to challenge each other . The tournament is normally called a junior  national National Championship and is sponsored by International Food Corperation under its product brand name "BESTA".

This championship is usually santioned by the Papu New Guinea Football Ass.ociation (PNGFA).
