Flanker Tommy Semmy scored a hat-trick of goals while Tutizama Tanito and Koriak Upaiga bagged a goal each to send Morobe side packing for the season.

The win put the Jerry Allen-coached team in the box seat for the minor premiership decider next week with archrivals Lae City Dwellers.

The Dwellers hammered Rapatona 5-0 at the Sir Ignatius Kilage Stadium in an equally dominant display.

Played under hot and humid conditions at the Bisini Soccer Oval 1, the Reds put on a clinical display despite the heat out-playing the visitors in a one-sided encounter.

Hekari’s defence was hardly tested as Morobe’s offensive could only offer up meek attempts at the Reds goal.

Captain and striker Alex Kamen, Beckham Yanum and Gamaiah Aimor struggled throughout to find their range as the home side’s defence foiled their every move.

John Kapi Natto’s side quenched their hunger for goals, after last weekend’s goal-less draw with Lae City, by shooting out to a two-goal lead in the first half courtesy of Semmy.

In the second half, Morobe knuckled down and worked for more opportunities but Hekari’s superior skill set saw them add three more goals to Tanito, Semmy and Upaiga.
Morobe played strongly but poor option-taking by their front line saw several chances squandered while Hekari’s back three snuffed out any other attempts.

Kamen, Peter Yang and Yanum tried hard for the visitors.
