Final match for Hekari to qualify for second placing

This weekend’s match is mostly likely to be packed up with supporters of both Hekari and Lautoka FC when they take the field. The home team are looking forward to the challenge against Lautoka FC . The match will decide whether Hekari will make it to take the second spot in the pool. On the current standings, Lautoka is running second with 7 points after Amicale FC of Solomon Islands with 10 points. Coming after Amicale is Koloale FC with 6 points while Hekari United FC sits on fourth with 5 points.

The outcome of this match will detemine whether Amicale will make it to the finals which they are most likely to face the winner of pool B next weekend. The winner of the grand final will represent Oceania in the next FIFA Club World Cup.

Hekaris United’s team manageress, Mrs Vonnie Natto, she said after they lost to Koloale, they really want to make it to this game and the team is looking forward to the game this weekend. However striker Kema Jack will not be in the team this weekend due to injuries. There have been some injuries among few of the boys and would not be in the match this weekend, Koriak Upaiga will be missed in front as he got 2 yellow cards previously and Osea Vakatalesau will also miss this match.

She said, they have some very good talents coming up from the boys and are sure they will make a good team when they take on Lautoka this weekend.

Fiji side on the other hand they have opted to field all their local based players in the match against Hekari on Saturday which the Australian based players will not be in for this weekends game.

Star striker Valerio Nawatu and defender Krishna Samy are ruled out of this match. Nawatu was yellow carded twice (2 yellow cards), while Krishna Samy who was red card against Amicale during their match.

They were awarded a protest last Friday which means they are the 2010 Fiji National Football League champions. They will be representing Fiji again in the 2011-2012 O-League in the next season.

In the local competition they have made a strong start to the season. So far after four rounds they are on top of the 2011 National League table with 12 points and had a good 1-0 victory over Navua last Sunday.
