The tournament will take place during the term three school holiday week.
PNGFA General Secretary/CEO, Mr Dimirit Mileng says the date proposed earlier in July has not been accepted by participating teams and the new date has now been set to 22nd to 26th September 2014.
“All participating teams should take note of the new date and prepare accordingly to attend the championship,” Mileng says.
Last year’s youth tournaments in Lae ended on a high note despite soggy conditions with Lae Football Association hosting the championship. Madang won the U-17 title and LFA claimed the U-20 title.
Papua New Guinea Football Association, in its efforts to identify and improve football talents in the country, is staging youth championships on an annual basis.
