Bulolo United forces a draw on homesoil

Major sponsor Morobe Mining Joint Venture set up tent at the sideline and a full contingent of their Wau base exploration workforce with Rachael Lennie were on hand to witnessed the game and cheered on for their sponsored team and went away smiling after their boys forced a draw with a leading NSL franchise club, Besta PNGFA United.

The Besta boys led 2-1 midway inot the second half and looked set to wrap up the highly contested game when Bulolo captain Darius Edwin recieved a well time overhead crossed form midfielder Nobi Pambel in a corner and beat the Besta defenders and the goalie to head home the equaliser to bring the house down.

Head coach Lugwig Peka beamed with excitement thanked the boys for putting up a strong fihgt in their home turf to force a draw with Besta boys.

Besta had the upper hand throughtout the game with striker Jamal Seeto leadign thier assault up front with Sammy Hiob with their class bribbling and excellent foot work which kept Bulolo defenders running all afternoon.

Bulolo united striker, Clement Peka, Edwin Darius, Jason Farrock, Gamaya Dimur and Yamah Shong put up a strong defence in the midfield area and denied the Besta Boys room to move to penetrate into their goal mouth area to score.

The home crowd were kept in suspense as Besta kept pounding at Bulolo defensive line before Seeto set up Sammy Hiob to shake the net for their opening goal to take a 1-0 lead in the opening minutes of the game.

Bulolo were still settling inot the game with Peka, Farrock, Shong, Dimur and Otto Pokiap linking up together and kept applying pressure inot Besta territory and they were rewarded with a goal from Peka 30 meters from the centre field to level the scores at 1-1 to take them into the halftime break. Besta extend their lead with Vanya Malagian , Peter Yang, Max Sengum, Japhet Tiampo and Seeto combining well in the midfield to set up Hiob to slam the net in the opening minutes of the second half to put their nose in healthier waters 2-1.

Bulolo got its acts together as the game intensified midway into the second halfand kept a tight break wall defence in front of their goal mouth by keeping a close tab on Seeto and Malagian from extending Bestas goal tally and kept repelling many of their aerial shots in front of their goal mouth everytime they were in possesion of the ball until opportunity presented itself and Edwin heded home the equalizer to force a draw with Besta.
