While previous leaders VATS Yamaros found the going gets tough with a revamped National Gaming and Control Board Uni Inter held them to a 2-2 draw. No games played in Lae.
The Port Moresby chapter of the challenge competition ladder after the weekend now sees Mungkas on 18 points followed by Uni Inter 12 points, Yamaros 12 and Hekari United on two points.
Hekari looked set to give the leaders a run for their money holding them to a 1-all draw at half time courtesy of the goal from striker Ara Midi after Mungkas were leading from a goal from Romona Morris just two minutes into the match. But Hekari despite Lorna Tauloi and Wendy Agibe trying their best at any cost to stay intact with the fast Mungkas players just did not find the answers to their thirst for a victory.
Morris again found the net four minutes into the second half for a double while hard working Lydia Barnabas scored a brilliant individual goal.
