Led by former Hekari Duo Raymond Gunemba and Nigel Dabinyaba upfront, scored double each to upset the Joe Turia coach side putting Dwellers one point behind defending champion Hekari United.
Gunemba after the match said it was great to see that they have progressed after struggling in the opening two matches.
The first half was not an easy time for the two teams with each side making several unsuccessful attempts until Dweller’s raw recruit Obert Bika set up the opening goal with his cross from the right flank for his skipper Raymond Gunemba to head the opener.
While Gunemba and Dabinyaba continued terrorising Oro’s territory, the midfield manned by Troy Gunemba and Jetro Mautaya took control making the boys in green guessing all afternoon.
Head coach Peter Gunemba said they had a tough time finding combination especially with most of his players are new to this level of competition but gain confidence in every match.
He said their win over Oro is just a bonus to their on-going development to be consistent in this level of football.
Lae City Dwellers will spend a week in the city to play their round eight match this weekend with the city side FC Port Moresby.
