This weekend at Bisini soccer ground we’ll witnessed the grand-final of the PMSA women’s super league competition, two teams have successfully made it to the final play-off. Minor premier Mungkas FC will lock horns with Rapatona FC to see who will be the queen of the women’s super league competition.
Both teams had been going through intensive training sessions with their coaches as they prepare for the big event this weekend and Rapatona girls are aware of what Mungkas girls are capable of.
It’s been a heck of a time for Rapatona girls playing in the competition but with the team comprising of a strong side, their hard work has paid off. The club comprising of mostly experienced players have had to step up with their performance to cause an upset.
They are aware of the Mungkas side who are too smart to play around especially with the backline. Mungkas had been so hard on their training and the preparation had been going well with them and looking forward for this weekend’s grand-final match.
Mungkas will look to current PNG representative and strikers Sandra Birum and Fatima Rama to lead in the front. Both players will be out to capitalize on their opportunities and if given a chance can steal the game from their opposition. They will be complimented well by Claire Getsi in midfield and Docas Sesevo in the backs.
While Rapatona on the other hand will have the services of Cathy Horris in the backs and striker Deslyn Siniu up in the front where both ladies will be a handful.
Mungkas are favourites going into this games and Rapatona will be out to spoil their party.
Mungkas are a good team comprising of bunch of good players who have beaten us during the normal season but it is the grand find and things might change for us, said Rapatona coach Clement Anisan.
He said their preparation leading up to the grand final has been good ,the girls are reminded to focused and concentrate on their training to prepare for the grand final.
