She said the Papua New Guinea Football Association expected all highlands provinces to field men’s and women’s teams.
“Any province or teams with just a men’s or a women’s team will not be allowed to participate in the tournament as per the requirements of PNGFA,’’ Agunam said.
PNGFA competitions manager Simon Koima said participating centres wishing to take part must be a current member or associate member of Papua New Guinea Football Association.
He said MA’s and associate members must pay in an annual registration fee of K1000.00 to PNGFA and have your players registered in your MA.
Associations wishing to pay their participation fees should deposit the monies into Westpac bank account 6003298270 (Goroka branch).
Agunam said preparations were underway and organisers needed the cooperation of teams to meet the participation fee of K500 per team prior to the deadline on 5th October 2015.
The account name is Goroka Football Association. For details, Agunam can be contacted on 72504649.
Agunam said they were expecting each association to come prepared, with the finalists advancing to the Besta Cup final in Lae.
“The Highlands region is the last region to have their regional Besta tournament before the finals are played in Lae,” Agunam said.
All teams must be in Goroka on the 8th October 2015 with your payments deposit slips, “No payment No Play.”
