Finally after, 50 years Nawone Soccer Association in Kiunga, Western Province has been given the chance to host the Southern leg of the Besta FA Cup from August 20 – 24.
The little town at the head of Fly River will soon be on the spotlight in the field of soccer in August this year.
President of Nawone Soccer Association, Tony Wunum said preparation for the tournament is already underway for them to host the biggest soccer game since independence in Kiunga.
He said his team has been working hard to have the venue prepared and also make accommodation available for the participating teams.
Lae City the home of Besta will host the Momase leg from 11 -15 August 2015 and Manus Soccer Association will host the NGI leg from 25 – 28 August 2015.
The Highlands Region is yet to confirm a venue. Dates will be announced after the inspection of venue, tentatively by Mendi Football Association.
PNGFA Manager Competitions, Mr Simon Koima said, all participating MA’s and Associate Members are reminded to pay in their yearly affiliation fees of K1000.00, followed by their nomination fee of K500.00 per team including per player registration fee of K3.00.
“All fees must be deposited into BSP Account No 1000146403, BSP branch Lae and all deposited receipts must be produce at the team managers meeting at respective host centres,” said Koima.
He added that your failure to produce the receipts will resulted in denying your team’s participating.
