Basamuk benefit from MSA

Rural soccer associations in Madang continue to benefit from being associate members to Madang Soccer Associations as MSA extends is development program into the districts.

Basamuk Soccer Association, in the Raikos District is one such association, that have benefitted from Madang Soccer Association recently.

President of Madang Soccer Association, Mr Siegfried Beschel, today presented a set of goal nets, two referees whistle, four corner flags, two assistant flags and two soccer balls to Madang Chamber of Commerce President Mr Kevin Murray who received the equipment on behalf of Basamuk Soccer Association.

Mr Murray said it is very timely to receive the equipment as Basamuk will launch its 12 male and 6 female team competition next week.

“The players and officials of Basamuk soccer are grateful for this support and they will continue to promote soccer as a social event for the people of Basamuk, said Murray.

MSA President, Mr Beschel said it is our role to help develop soccer in the province and we will do our best to support district affiliates. 

“Our support to Basamuk is not the first, we have supported Almami Soccer Association, Megiar High School Soccer Association and now Basamuk.”

“We would like to thank Madang Provincial Administration and office of the Madang Governor, Mr Peter Yama for the grant support which enable us to provide the support to the district affiliates,” Beschel said.
