PS Rutz striker Obert Bika scored three goals in a man-of-the-match performance.
PS beat the Momase 5-0 in round two of the Port Moresby Soccer Association Men’s Premier League competition at Bisini yesterday.
Bika’s inclusion in the team at the end of round one has really boost the teams’ campaign for the PMSA Men’s Premier League competition.
The PS Rutz striking weapon was everywhere and anywhere even pushing so hard in the defence and becoming the three-goal hero.
Under the guidance of Anthony Pakakota, PS Rutz put up an outstanding defence to deny Momase any chance of scoring.
Momase, despite having few experience players yet still struggling to score.
Momase came back firing in the second half, as they pressed and continued to probe with opportunities available to find target but a few wrong options denied them.
PS Rutz captain Michael Saun caught the Momase goal keeper off-guard and slipped one through in the 31 minute for the opening.
PS continued to attack their opponents’ defensive line which saw Bika at the right spot to score his first for the hat-trick and went on to scored his second to led 3-0 heading into the break.
In the second half, PS continued on with the momentum as Saun, Bika and Stanley ‘Jiwaka’ Tumun started take control of the game which saw Bika pull one through for this hat-trick while Tumun seal the result and had the game in their hands with a 5-0 victory.
In the other game, it was an even tussle between University and FC Genesis but credit to University goal keeper Albert Mesulam to put his body on the line to save the day for University.
Both sides held on to a nil-all deadlock until full time.
