Buang FC eager to make an impact in NSL

NEW franchise Buang Football Clubs preparations are on target for the 2017 National Soccer League challenge.

The franchise club based in Mt Hagen is looking forward for their first match this weekend against reigning champions Lae City Dwellers.

Since February, Buang FC has been on a recruitment drive under the guidance of Hagai Gideon as coach.

Buang FC team manager John Makanda said the club has recruited well for the season and will be banking on the services of former Besta PNG United stalwart Freddy Steven, Jason Farrock and young talent Philip Makanda.

Makanda said the club has been undergoing intensive drills and fitness programs. He added that currently there were no major injury concerns.

Makanda also said Prima Small Goods, who are their major sponsors, will continue to support and fund the club’s preparations for the 2017 NSL season.

He also revealed that part of the sponsorship package includes six sets of uniforms for the club each year starting in 2017.
