The National Soccer League Board has set dates for the National Soccer League semi-final between Madang and Huawei PS United and for the grand final.
The deferred semi-final match between Madang and Huawei PS will played on Wednesday16 August 2017 while the grand-final on Saturday 19 August 2017.
The match was cancelled when Huawei PS United did not turn up in Madang due to flight issues.
PNGFA Senior Vice President John Wesley Gonjuan said the NSL Board have decided that both match will be played in Lae at PNGFA Academy but if the rain continues in Lae and affects the field of play and the preparation then the finals will be move to Madang.
Gonjuan apologises for the delay of the playoffs and said the reason is because of continues rain that affect the condition of the field in Lae.
In addition Gonjuan said we also have election related issues in PNG that have spill over to Lae and Madang therefore our players safety is important.
Defending champions Lae City Dwellers have booked a spot for the grand final after beating Besta United 2-1 last Saturday and are on standby to play the winner of the Madang-Huawei PS United game.
