Ela Motors driving football forward in Papua New Guinea

Papua New Guinea Football Association is pleased to announce a match partnership with Ela Motors PNG as the official vehicle of the Oceania Stage 3 Qualifier for the 2018 FIFA World Cup Russia™ fixture between Papua New Guinea and Tahiti this week.

Ela Motors your first choice in PNG for all your Toyota needs, had previously assisted Papua New Guinea Football through various programmes but was quick to sign up to help drive football in the country.

Dimirit Mileng, the General Secretary at Papua New Guinea Football Association, said the partnership with a prominent local vehicle company was a natural alignment with the governing body.

“We are delighted to have Ela Motors on board for this match and we hope this is the start of a long-term partnership,” said Mileng.

PNGFA have used a number of Toyota vehicles in their fleet over the past few years, including during the recently held FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016, but the match partnership will see the formalisation of a partnership.

Under the partnership each team has been allocated a combination of the new 4th generation Toyota Coaster and the ever popular Toyota Hiace to support their transport requirements during their time in Port Moresby.

The FIFA match officials appointed for the fixture have also been provided with a Toyota Hiace to support their preparations for the match.

Ela Motors also supported the Local Organising Committee for the FIFA U-20 World Cup Papua New Guinea 2016 with a number of support vehicles for the successful event held last year.

Neil Stewart, the General Manager Operations of Ela Motors PNG, said the company was happy to be the official vehicle partner of PNGFA for the match.

“Ela Motors PNG are proud to be a match partner for this important fixture between Papua New Guinea and Tahiti,” said Neil

“There are many manufacturers in Papua New Guinea capable of supplying any number of different vehicles to them, and for us to be chosen to supply is very humbling.

We are building a fantastic relationship with Papua New Guinea Football, and the positive feedback already about the Toyota vehicles reinforces our strong presence in the Papua New Guinea market.”

The match between Papua New Guinea and Tahiti is scheduled for 4pm on Thursday, 23 March at Sir John Guise Stadium.  Tickets are available from Euro Sport at Vision City Mega Mall in Waigani.
