Madang FC has signed PNG international Michael Foster to boost their Oceania Champions League campaign.
The PNG captain spend whole of last year in Australia playing with Geelong Football club with countryman Hillary Harry Jenkins before joining Malaita Kingz of Solomon Island at the end of last year.
Foster brings with him a formidable international record of 32 games and seven goals.
Madang FC chairman Dr Miok Komolong said: “There is an air of excitement with Foster teaming up with Madang.
He will be in Madang colors tomorrow to face Moresby based Southern Strikers from Port Moresby at the Laiwaden Oval in the round two for the National Soccer League.
“Coach Mauri Wasi wants him to play with the team in the NSL competition, so that he can get used playing with the Madang boys.
“It has certainly given Madang FC a timely boost and certainly renewed hunger and drive to produce the goods.”
