NSL manager Leslie Babaga said the new season is set to be played in all four regions of the country when it kicks off on January 19 next year and teams wishing to take part had until 20 December 2018 to submit bids.

He said the Expression of Interest forms can be picked up at the National Soccer League office at Telikom Rumana in Port Moresby or via email;

Babaga said all franchises submitting their expression of interest needed to take not of the following:

         Clubs must be incorporated as a company and be registered with the Investment Promotion Authority and there is to be no double ownership of franchises.

         Franchise clubs must be able to adequately demonstrate their ability to meet all the financial commitments during the season.

Babaga added that Expression of Interest fee is K5, 000 and is non-refundable while the registration of each franchise is K45, 000.

The new-look NSL will be played in Southern, Momase, Highlands and New Guinea Island Conferences with all four regions having their competition run simultaneously.

It is anticipated that Northern and Southern will have seven teams while New Guinea Island and Highlands will have six team each.
