THE National Soccer League (NSL) is set to kick off on Saturday with a three exciting National Soccer League football matches at the Laiwaden Oval in Madang.

Defending Champions Lae City Dwellers, Besta PNG United FC – Lae based, PS Huawei FC, Southern Strikers FC – POM based, Madang FC – Madang based and Buang FC – Hagen based.

The Laiwaden Oval is expected to be packed to capacity on Saturday for its first triple header of the year in the National Soccer League.

The game will kick off at 10am with an exciting match between PNGFA development team Besta PNG United facing PS Huawei FC.

In the second match at 12.30pm will see the two newcomers – POM based Southern Strikers taking on Buang FC of Hagen.

The official kick off will be at 3.00pm between defending champion Lae City Dwellers and Madang FC should be a thriller.

The home based  Madang FC with the home advantage looking to cause an upset over the defending champion.

Koima said NSL is working around the clock to ensure all teams are ready for kick off.

He also stressed that NSL will provide land transport and airfares for teams travelling from their home base to the game venue but from the teams camp site to the game venue will be the club cost and not NSL.

“Its franchise clubs must also meet their accommodation cost and not NSL,” Koima says.

The total fee for the 2017 National Soccer League is K85, 000 – K80, 000 registration fee and K5, 000 for the nomination fee.

              Buang FC v Southern Strikers FC – 12.30pm

              Lae City Dwellers v Madang FC – 3.00pm
