THE National Soccer League has called for expression of interest (EOI) from franchises wishing to participate in the upcoming 2017-18 soccer season.
The PNGFA Senior Vice President John Wesley Gonjuan said the new season will kick off in November this year, and any team wishing to take part should submit their EOI letters.
He said the Expression of Interest forms can be picked up at the National Soccer League office at Telikom Rumana in Port Moresby.
Gonjuan said all franchise clubs submitting their interest needed to comply with the following: franchise clubs must be incorporated as a company and be registered with IPA; there is to be no double ownership of franchises; franchise clubs must be able to adequately demonstrate their ability to meet all the financial commitments during the season.
Gonjuan said the Expression of Interest will be closed at the end of this month (October).
“We should look forward for another great year of entertaining displayed of football skills,” Gonjuan said.
“We had a successful end to the 2017 season with minor hiccups and credit should go to all the club franchises, players, match officials and the NSL Board.
The NSL 2017-2018 season will kick off in November.
