Vitis Yamaros Football Club are definitely struggling. Last weekend they lost to Besta PNG United FC at Bisini despite putting on a fight back in the second half.
The Vitis sponsored sides are putting in all their effort but nothing is coming right for them. If they seriously want to keep their hopes alive they need to address game plan and play with a lot of spirit.
This match tomorrow against defending champion Lae City Dwellers will determine they are in it or not. Vitis Yamaros have yet to win a game.
Lae City Dwellers are in high spirits and will be looking to maintain their winning record. Last weekend they trashed Buang 7-0 with two goals from striker Raymond Gunemba.
The mid-week triple header match will be staged at Bisini Soccer grounds in Port Moresby.
The 10am match will see a determined Besta PNG United FC take on Madang while Huawei PS will vie for a triumph this time against Buang FC at 3pm in the main match although all teams are expecting Yamaros to cause an upset against LCD to get a pointer increase in their placing on the ladder.
The competition leaders are vying another easy win tomorrow after their 7-0 victory over Buang FC, they are ready to face Yamaros.
LCD coach Peter Gunemba said it won’t seem like an easy win because we are expecting quite tough challenge from the Yamaros side.”
Meanwhile, Yamaros team manager Micah Kaneng said they will be facing the giants however his players are ready to give them a good defensive challenge.
“It’s a learning process for the boys and if we can give Besta FC a tough time then it’s all about improving and defending each opponent in the match,” Kaneng added.
The current NSL standing has LCD on 16 points, Madang with 13 points, Huawei PS on 10 points, Besta PNG United with 10 points, Buang with 7 points and Yamaros with 1 point.
