PNGFA Youth Festival gears up

THE laughter, fun, friendship and football is coming to Northern Conference and Southern Conference as the revive PNGFA Youth Festival gears up for the biggest and best event yet. 

Teams from around Papua New Guinea will gather in Lae, Port Moresby and Kimbe respectively during the school holiday in a spirit of friendship and cultural understanding at a football tournament where the love for the beautiful game is the ultimate motivation.

The PNG Football Association U17 Youth Festival for both boys and girls is open for all member associations and associate members. Invitation is also extended to all schools in the country.

The Youth Festival will be held during the term two school holiday from 25th June – 06th July with Morobe Football Association and PNGFA Education Centre hosting the Northern Conference while the Southern Conference will be co-hosted by POM School Soccer Association and Port Moresby Soccer Association.  Kimber Soccer Association will be hosting the Eastern Conference (NGI)

PNGFA is proud to stage this year’s event with the aim of involving players at youth level every year, giving them a chance to represent our country in international championships.

The mission of the Youth Festival is to develop and deliver quality youth football to boys and girls at the young age to build their interest and also create pathways for future stars. It is also another way of promoting a fun a family atmosphere.

The event this year will also help coaches to identify players that will be representing PNG in the OFC Youth Champions for both boys and girls.

Host Association can invite other age group but not above Under 17, and must less than four teams in order for the competition to be validated.
