Spanish Pro Football donated balls to PNGFA

A co-operation project between the Embassy of Spain in Canberra in collaboration with the Spanish Professional Football League, donates 3,500 balls to the Papua New Guinea Football Association (PNGFA) for distribution to member associations throughout the country at the European Union Delegation office yesterday.

The aim of this project is to promote the sport and its values as a tool for social inclusion which can support children, women and vulnerable groups of people in different contexts.

 The little ceremony was attended by Spanish Ambassodor Manuel Cacho, European Union Ambassodor His Excellency Ioannis Giogkarakis-Argyropoulos and PNG Football Association general secretary Dimirit Mileng.dsc03845

When presenting the balls His Excellency Manuel Cacho said, the Spanish Professional Football Foundation LaLiga donated the first 100 soccer balls on the occasion of the FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup which takes place in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea from November 13 to December 3.
